Save Any iOS SHSH Blobs Using iFaith [How To]
Friday, June 3, 2011 1:33 AM
iH8sn0w, an iOS hacker, announced iFaith, a new SHSH blob dumper for all iDevices which can save SHSH files of any firmware running on your iDevice even if Apple is not signing it. By using iFaith you will have the ability to dump SHSH blobs directly onto your iDevice. iFaith works with the iDevices supported by limerain jailbreak exploit like iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G, the iPad 1G and Apple TV 2G. iPad 2 is not supported. If you are not aware, an SHSH Blob is what Apple uses to verify the iOS version you are running.

A few days ago, iH8sn0w had a secret project up his sleeve called Projectif. As promised today at 5PM EST iH8sn0w released iFaith - the first ever physical SHSH Blob dumper. According to the official description - iFaith is the first public SHSH Dumping tool that dumps the SHSH blobs for the current iOS revision running on your iDevice, which means that by using iFaith you will have the ability to dump SHSH blobs directly onto your iDevice.
Save iOS 4.3, 4.3.1 SHSH Blobs With iSHSHit
Friday, April 1, 2011 1:43 AM
You can save your SHSH blobs, either through a tool like TinyUmbrella or simply through Cydia. Both these methods work, but wouldn’t it be even easier if there was a simple alternate iDevice utility that could do this? There is a utility that was released into Cydia called iSHSHit (Tinyumbrella alternative), and with this utility your SHSH blobs are saved for your current firmware version. Once you save your SHSH Blobs with iSHSHit, you can email yourself your SHSH blobs for backup also. iSHSHit was recently updated to support saving SHSH blobs for the iOS 4.3,4.3.1 firmware. If you are looking for a Tinyumbrella alternative that will save your SHSH blobs then iSHSHit truly is a perfect choice.

Save iOS 4.1 SHSH Blobs For Untethered iOS 4.2 Jailbreak [How To]
Friday, November 5, 2010 8:41 AM
We recommended that you save the iOS 4.1 SHSH Blobs before the public release of iOS 4.2 to get the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2. Apple has already rolled out the iOS 4.2 GM version and the final version is coming just within a few days after which Apple will not sign the old firmware.Though Cydia automatically stores the SHSH Blobs of every jailbroken iDevice, but it is better to save them manually with the help of TinyUmbrella.
