Seas0npass which includes support for untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 Apple TV 2G. For those who don’t know Seas0nPass works like PwnageTool on Mac or sn0wbreeze on Windows. It allows you to create custom jailbreaked iOS firmwares and restore them in iTunes. Seas0nPass is based on feedface kernal exploit, the one which is used in greenpois0n rc6. So if you have already jailbroken your device with greenpois0n rc6, you don’t need to re-jailbreak your device.

AirPlay is a hot new feature allowing you to instantly stream video that you’re watching on your iPhone to your television utilizing a $99 Apple TV 2G. But if you don’t have an Apple TV 2G, but you have a Mac mini connected to your TV. There is a new Mac OS X app called AirPlayer, and it allows you to use AirPlay on your Mac.
Apple has just released a new update for Apple TV 2G. There is no official changelog available yet for iOS 4.2.1 (8C154), but the main purpose of this update is to fix bugs and patch security loopholes.

If you rent movies from iTunes and stream it to your new Apple TV and it never starts 24h/48 hour countdown, which means you have a long period of 30 days to enjoy them as much as you want. When you watch the movie on the new Apple TV, no warning appears.
Apple TV can be jailbroken (as it runs a modified iOS 4.1 firmware) with the SHAtter exploit, then you need to save your SHSH Blobs on your Apple TV. Saving your SHSH Blobs allows you to downgrade your firmware to a previous versions. This is important if you accidentally update to a firmware version that cannot be jailbroken.

The new Apple TV 2G was successfully jailbroken using the SHAtter exploit. The process of "jailbreaking" involves gaining full access to the device that allows developers to add new functionality to the iDevice. The iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad have all been successfully jailbroken over time and has allowed individuals to install 3rd party apps to their iDevices.
