You know how you've always wanted the battery to show percentage.Well, what about those devices that can't do that, until they are jailbroken?
But, what about people that don't want to keep the jailbreak? There is now a solution, but, sadly, will require two restores. Let's get started!
NOTE: YOU DON'T HAVE TO RESTORE THE FIRST TIME, JUST TO BE SAFE.WE SUGGEST YOU TO DO IT.
STEP 1: BACK UP IN ITUNES
You should back up your data in iTunes before restoring, just to be safe.
STEP 2: RESTORE TO A JAILBREAKABLE FIRMWARE
That should be 3.1.2/3.1.3, a firmware you want to stay on, and can downgrade if need be. Jailbreak 3.1.2 with blackra1n, and 3.1.3 with Spirit.
STEP 3: JAILBREAK
Use the above programs to jailbreak.
STEP 4: INSTALL THINGS
Open up Cydia, and install SBSettings when you can. Then enable battery percentage in SBSettings
STEP 5: BACK UP AGAIN
Back up in iTunes! This is crucial, it won't work if you don't back up this time.
STEP 6: RESTORE
Restore to whatever firmware, and sync from back up.
And you should have the battery percentage without a jailbreak.
