The main function of iREB RC3 is to put your device into Pwned DFU mode so that you can restore to custom iOS 4.2.1 firmware cooked with sn0wbreeze or PwnageTool. H8sn0w’s iREB RC3 lets you bypass any error (1604, 1603, 1602, 1601, 1600 error in iTunes) while restoring to a custom IPSW in iTunes. Fix Errors 1604, 1601, 1600, 16xx With iREB RC3 in iTunes [How To] :


1) Launch iREB RC3 and select your device.


2) DFU Helper mode will help you put your device into pwned DFU state. Simply follow the on-screen instructions and let iREB RC3 work.



3) Start iTunes again and select the device. Now press and hold left “alt” button (“Shift” button in Windows OS) and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update”) button in the iTunes and then release the “Shift” button. Select the custom .ipsw file and restore it.

iTunes will now restore your iDevice to iOS 4.2.1 custom firmware without geting any 1604, 1601, 1600, 16xx errors during restore with iREB RC3.
