Comex has tweeted that iOS 4.3 jailbreak may in fact be a userland jailbreak! Which means most certainly jailbreaking the iOS 4.3 firmware could be as simple as visiting JailbreakMe.com. We have seen such a jailbreak in the past when Apple first introduced the iOS 4 firmware, and we also saw how fast Apple was able to patch this jailbreak. This is because a userland jailbreak means that the exploit lies in the software level. Thus Apple only has to push a new firmware update and the jailbreak is no more. As a userland exploit is as simple as visiting a website through Safari.

In his tweet, Comex also refers to a bootrom exploit, this type of jailbreak exploit can only be patched via a hardware upgrade, the jailbreak community might want to save this exploit for after the iPhone 5 comes out.
This could mean that the Apple iPad 2 could be jailbroken for life instead of just for a single firmware file.

However no details are known what the Dev Team will do with this bootrom exploit. They could even end up saving it for the iPhone 5. We will keep you updated on the progress of the iOS 4.3 jailbreak, until then please stay tuned.
