According to Engadget, this is a 16GB model white iPhone 4 soon-to-hit the Vodafone shelves in UK, starting 27th April. The box clearly mentions the model number of the device as MC604B/A with the new proximity sensors. Apparently a Vodafone sales rep rang up the White iPhone 4 as a Black 16GB model in their point-of-sale system before the company told its employees not to sell units carrying the MC604B/A model number. The current UK 16gb Black iPhone 4 has a model number of MC603B/A, with the ‘4′ presumably representing the difference in color for that capacity. See the white iPhone 4 images below.

The new proximity sensor (refer first picture) is just a black cut in the white front panel instead of dotted cuts in the old sensor as shown below.

On the black iPhone 4 the proximity sensor conceals itself in the surroundings, but on the white iPhone 4 model it does manage to stand out. This might have been one of the major obstacles Apple had to deal with during the production process.

Even few days back, the 32GB model White iPhone 4 was available for the price of £159 by signing 2-year contract on 3 UK portal. The listing was later pulled out.
