Geohot's iPad 2 Jailbreak Will Be A Low Level Exploit
Wednesday, May 4, 2011 7:25 AM
We earlier notified you about the iPhone hacker Geohot accepted the challenge between him and Chronic Dev Team's Posixninja to untether jailbreak the "un-jailbreakable" iPad 2 which most of the hackers, including the iphone Dev Team have touted as near to impossible. But the challenge here is not a normal one to just jailbreak the iPad 2, but it's about who dumps the A5 processor first. See the tweet regarding iPad 2 jailbreak below.
Well, to dump the iPad 2 A5 processor means that you have to find a bootrom exploit which is very difficult to be discovered and developed. As this jailbeak will be low-level exploit, Veeence says it might jailbreak the iPad 2 and the not-released iPhone 5 forever. For more info on iPad 2 jailbreak, stay tuned.
