Installer 4.0 is back, Infini Dev team has ported Installer 4.0 to the latest iOS 4.3.3 firmware. Installer 4.0 works with iOS 4.2.1 firmware and later. Installer 4.0 is an alternative to Cydia but works quite differently. You won’t be able to add Cydia repos to Installer and vise versa Right now, Installer is a world first third party App Store long before Cydia, Icy and Rock in the jailbreak scene. Read the tutorial below on how to install Installer 4.0 on your iDevice.
Installer’s mechanism is different than Cydia which means current sources (repos) will unfortunately not work with it. What this means is until new repositories begin to come online, the store’s usefulness is limited.
Installer works with a different system than Cydia, that why you won’t be able to add a Cydia repo into installer. For those who want to download and try Installer 4.0, just follow the tutorial below.
As we speak we are working on a new community source for installer only, which means you will be able to install things via installer.
We could use help, you may help us by submitting apps that where hosted by installer, or apps that have the installer structure. Or by making app with a installer structure.
Install Installer 4.0 On Your iDevice [How To] :
