Download iOS 5 Without A Developer Account [Download]
Tuesday, June 7, 2011 7:43 AM
You aren't a developer but you want to test iOS 5, then this is for you. All iOS 5 firmware ipsw files have been uploaded for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G, iPad 1, iPad 2 and Apple TV 2G. Download iOS 5 using direct links below which are better than torrents. Please note that this is iOS 5 beta 1 for SDK, and no there is no jailbreak available for the public for iOS 5 for now. However, iPhone Dev Team have jailbroken iOS 5 using Limerain exploit developed by iOS hacker Geohot, but no ETA has been given yet.
Note : Your iDevice needs to be activated, activate iOS 5 without a developer account here or bypass the entire activation process here. Installing this firmware on a non-activated iDevice will make it useless.

@Anonymous :Firstly download iTunes 10.5. What's the error code iTunes giving you? If it's 3194 go into Tiny Umbrella > Advanced tab > Uncheck Block Apple server.
Is your UDID activated ? If not, then you can't update to iOS 5. First activate your iOS 5 here.

Or just do it the legit way and have your udid activated on a dev account. I have 90 spots left but you have to put some money into it email vuman23@mail.com

When you say, open Terminal... can you clarify what that is?
Terminal emulator on the ipod itself, or command prompts, ?
Thank you.
