Apple released iOS 5 beta 2 firmware update today for developers only. Musclenerd, iPhone Dev Team hacker, has confirmed via a tweet that you can jailbreak (tethered) the iOS 5 beta 2 firmware with the previous version of redsnow 0.9.8 (Mac/Windows). Musclenerd has also confirmed that this jailbreak technique will also work for all future beta releases of iOS 5 which is a very good news for all the jailbreakers out there.
redsnow 0.9.8 should be able to jailbreak all iOS 5 beta releases by pointing redsnow 0.9.8 to iOS 5 beta 1 ipsw file. If you want to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 2 just point redsnow to iOS 5 beta 1 then follow the guide below for both Mc and Windows. We also remind you to save your SHSH blobs before upgrading here.

As always, unlockers should stay away from upgrading to iOS 5 firmware if you want to keep your iPhone in an unlocked state. Also, stay patient as we will upload iOS 5 beta 2 direct download and torrent links very soon.
