Sergio McFly (the developer of iPhodroid) has been working on a NOR backup utility for the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G. NOR backup utility is a small program that will backup your iPhone’s NOR (the first program which boots up your iPhone). You can now install Android on your iPhone, and if something does go wrong, you will be able to restore.

We told you about FoldersInFolders tweak last week. The developer has just released this tweak in Cydia and it is available for around $1.99.

It includes these features :

A new cydia tweak- Covert will be released soon. This tweak is developed by Chpwn, the developer of many popular tweaks such as Infini tweak series- InfiniBoard, InfiniFolders, InfiniDock, ProSwitcher and GridLock. This tweak will be available for free in Cydia.

He tweeted that he just submitted a new tweak to the Bigboss repo. It will be integrated directly into MobileSafari to allow you  to privately browse web pages.

GV Mobile+, the most popular Google Voice iPhone app is now on App store. GV Mobile developed by Sean Kovacs was one of several third party apps that were built on Google Voice to offer better call management services to users. Apple had rejected GV Mobile last year due to duplicity of features.

HDR Camera Enabler is a new tweak available in Cydia that brings HDR camera feature to your iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS. It is released when there isn’t even a jailbreak released. Download HDR Camera Enabler from Cydia ( available for free via Modmyi repo) and activate it in Winterboard. If you have an iPhone 3GS with older bootrom, you can jailbreak iOS 4.1 using PwnageTool.

Gridlock, a great tweak allows you to position icons on your springboard in whatever manner you want to. The deatails about this tweak are yet to be discovered. The people behind this tweak are Chpwn and p0sixninja, who just announced this tweak earlier today. This tweak will be available in the Cydia for around $1, and will work on the iPod Touch and iPhone.

Swirlyscreen is a great feature loaded lock screen for the iPod Touch and iPhone, which has a whole lot of great features like voice read alert messages, weather alerts, analog clock, photo slideshow. SwirlyScreen 2.1 is available on the Cydia for $1.99 via the BigBoss Repo but if you want it for free click here.

Netflix has been finally released to support both the iPod Touch and iPhone. It is now available at the App Store for free.Netflix for iPhone and iPod Touch works well over Wi-Fi as well as over 3G.
With the Netflix app you can directly stream video from Netflix with a  subscription starting at $ 8.99 per month.

You need to be a Netflix member to use the app to watch movies and TV shows on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Lockdown Pro, a jailbreak app, gives you the ability to password protect your iPhone apps. It is compatible with iOS 4 or later. It is not free and if you want it your pockets will be lighter by $1.99. It is available on Cydia and Rock Your Phone store. The creator of Lockdown Pro is ipodtouchmaster who had previously released Lockdown for iOS 3.

We got our hands on a whole new app called iMovicha released through Cydia today which allows you to make free video/voice calls And IM to an iPhone, Android, Symbian, Windows , and Blackberry phone.

So why are all these features free?

iMovicha enables this through a 3G/Wifi connection. As long as you have an active internet connection you can IM or video/voice call your friends for free, even if they are not on an iPhone.

Last week,the Dev-Team released the Ultrasn0w 1.0-1 which is undoubtedly the first software ever to unlock the iPhone 4G.The Dev-Team have just released an updated version-Ultrasn0w 1.1-1 for improved standby battery life.

Cydia is a storehouse of some greatest apps for iDevices and it is still the leader in that oomph factor.Today a new app called InfiniFolders was released which will let you add more than 12 icons into your iOS4 folders,thus breaking the 12 app barrier set by apple on iOS. Everyone knows that iTunes is a resource hog, and if you just want to play a song, what is the need to clog up your system with resource-hogging apps? Here are a few apps that will and probably can quench your thirst for that dream iTunes alternative.

Instinctiv

Instinctiv is very light weight, but still has an excellent set of features. You can view and purchace local concert tickets, which is great for those who love to hear their favorite artists in person. It has an “Instinctiv Shuffle” mode which plays similar songs based on your mood. The app opens quickly and the user interface is gorgeous and unobtrusive. It can sync with pretty much anything except iDevices, but that is a limitation imposed by Apple. You can post your current song to Facebook and Twitter with one click, and it supports Last.fm scrobbling.

FOR:Light,Unobtrusive,Good features.
AGAINST:Can't Sync with iDevices.

VERDICT:A good fature loaded media player plus much more.
