The Dev-Team have successfully jailbroken iOS 4.1 on the new iPod Touch 4G using the SHAtter exploit discovered by former Chronic Dev-Team member- Pod2G. The Dev-Team have managed to use the SHAtter exploit in the beta version of Pwnage Tool to jailbreak iPod Touch 4G.

We’ve put @pod2g’s exploit into a beta version of PwnageTool to test the waters. The SHAtter exploit was enough to convince the iPod touch 4G to restore to our custom IPSW. The successful result is shown below! It’s all working: customized Preferences to show battery percentage, Cydia, root shell…the works!

The Dev-Team or the Chronic Dev-Team have not clarified when the tools to jailbreak iOS 4.1 will be released but they're working hard to release the tools as soon as possible.
