Unlock iPhone 4, 3GS Permanently With IMEI Unlock
Monday, April 11, 2011 10:18 PM
A new remote unlocking method using your IMEI number is available for all AT&T iPhones (GSM) that promises to unlock all iPhones on any baseband without jailbreaking it. It will also unlock your iPhone 4 on basebands 02.10.04, 03.10.01, 04.10.01 including iPhone 3G,3GS on basebands 05.14.xx, 05.15.xx and 05.16.xx which cannot be unlocked using iPhone Dev Team's free ultrasnow unlock tool. Many websites promises to permanently unlock your iPhone using this method but the price is almost thrice as compared to Gevey SIM ranging between $150 to $200. So, should you buy Gevey or Rebel Micro SIM or go via this method? Or should you wait for free ultrasnow to come.
Why you should use IMEI unlock ?
We would recommend to refrain yourself from buying Gevey or Rebel SIM, as it uses 112 emergency number and only unlocks your iPhone for certain baseband and firmware. As far as ultrasnow unlock is concerned, we do not see any update coming soon. You can give this method a try which would “OFFICIALLY” and permanently unlock your iPhone without jailbreaking. Even the hacker community has acknowledged its legitimacy. You can try Negri Electronics (available for $175), CutYourSim or SuperPaddy. All of them have decent past history. This does not affect your warranty status, because this is an official iPhone unlock.
We will update this post as soon as we get more information on how this IMEI method works. If you are looking forward to try this or have already done so, don't forget to drop a comment below.

I wonder what they're doing for the 170 dollars. I bet its nothing and just putting in a code from hacking into apple servers. They're making loads ripping you guys off.
