Below is a simple and quick hack that will incredibly speed up Cydia by removing ads and screenshots in each package. That means you won’t see any ads anymore, but you won’t be able to see app screenshots also.

While being great, these folders have limited functionality. Covert Cydia Tweak: Private Browse Safari

A new cydia tweak- Covert will be released soon. This tweak is developed by Chpwn, the developer of many popular tweaks such as Infini tweak series- InfiniBoard, InfiniFolders, InfiniDock, ProSwitcher and GridLock. This tweak will be available for free in Cydia.

He tweeted that he just submitted a new tweak to the Bigboss repo. It will be integrated directly into MobileSafari to allow you  to privately browse web pages.

Some hackers have found a way to install cracked applications on a non-jailbroken iPhone. This is accomplished is by installing a non-signed IPA file, which is capable of downloading and installing apps from Cydia and even cracked apps. This app is called IPA god, and will be released in the near future.

Jay Freeman a.k.a. Saurik, the creator of Cydia, has just bought out his main competitor – Rock Your Phone Inc. Rock.app was gaining popularity for many features that Cydia does not currently have and overall it was a faster installer with a lot of bugs. In fact after a 10 day period any apps that were purchased will be transferred to Cydia store ID authentication, and any big apps or themes currently on Rock.app will be transferred over to Cydia. According to various stats, Rock made a whopping revenue of $3.3 million this year.

Introduction To Cydia

Cydia is an installer quite similar to App Store which will permit you add different sources to install third party apps. You can find quite everything, particularly some apps denied by Apple on its App Store.


If Cydia crashes :



  • Connect to your iPhone in SSH and go to var/lib/apt/lists
  • Remove all files in this folder except partial
  • In the folder partial, remove all files.
  • Respring and start again Cydia.

It is a package which contains everything you need to install an application (often coming from Cydia). The package is edited by hackers, they modify the code lines and then it becomes a cracked application.
