Pwnagetool, snowbreeze 2.7.2 : iOS 4.2.2 AppleTV 2G Jailbreak


Apple Today released an update iOS 4.2.2 for Apple TV 2G, the update fixes many bug fixes related to audio and video and adds many stability improvements. iOS 4.2.2 for Apple TV 2G is still vulnerable to i0n1c's untethered exploit.For Mac users, the Dev Team has released Pwnagetool bundle which will untether jailbreak iOS 4.2.2 on AppleTV 2G. For Windows Users, ih8sn0w has released an updated version of snowbreeze 2.7.2 which will untether jailbreak iOS 4.2.2 on AppleTV 2G.

Apple Drops iOS 4.2.2 For AppleTV 2G, Jailbreakers Unsafe


Apple has pushed out Apple TV firmware update iOS 4.2.2 (build 8F305) for the Apple TV 2G (second generation). This new update contains various bug fixes and stability improvements. MyGreatFest : Posixninja Confirmed As The Speaker

iPad 2 Jailbreak From iPhone Dev Team [Update]


This is just a quick heads-up : the iPhone Dev Team has made a small update on the iPad 2 jailbreak saying it's under works and undergoing hard development. There's already a tussle between limerain developer, Geohot and greenpoison developer, Posixninja to dump iPad 2, on the other side there's Comex of iPhone Dev Team is working on his userland exploit to jailbreak iPad 2 too. TinyUmbrella 4.33.00 Released- Supports iOS 4.3.3, iOS 4.2.8


TinyUmbrella, a tool that helps save iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV SHSH blobs regardless of whether your iDevice is jailbroken, has been updated to version 4.33.00. This new version supports iOS 4.3.3 (GSM) and iOS 4.2.8 (CDMA). In case you are not aware what saving your SHSH Blobs actually does, it allows you to downgrade your iOS firmware to a lower version. This is important if you accidentally update to a iOS firmware version that cannot be jailbroken, as Apple prevents this otherwise.

Unlock iPhone 4,3GS iOS 4.3.3 Using Ultrasnow 1.2.3 [How To]


The iPhone Dev Team have  the ultrasnow unlock for iPhone has been updated to support with iOS 4.3.3. This ultrasnow unlock will only work with iPhone 4 baseband 1.59.00, and iPhone 3G,3GS basebands 4.26.08, 5.11.07, 5.12.01, 5.13.04, and 6.15.00. Jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 Using redsnow 0.9.6 rc14 [How To]


iOS 4.3.3 was released couple of hours ago, Comex confirmed that iOS 4.3.3 can be jailbreak tethered with i0n1c's exploit, now Dinod7, entrepreneur in iDevices jailbreak, has just performed a tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.3 and it has been successful. The current version of redsnow 0.9.6 is a tethered jailbreak only, which means that you will have to boot your iDevice in tethered state on every reboot. iOS 4.3.3 Jailbreak Safe, Not Unlock Safe [Warning]


This is just a quick warning for all of you unlockers out there. If you rely on an unlock you should stay away from iOS 4.3.3 firmware update as it is not safe. If you plan to untether jailbreak your iDevice in the near future do not press the update button and when a new untethered iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak is released. Apple has patched all possible exploits except i0n1c's exploit used in redsnow 0.9.6 rc14 in this firmware update.

Redsnow Can Jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 Tethered


For those of who want to jailbreak, redsnow 0.9.6 rc14 can jailbreak the iOS 4.3.3 firmware tethered since Apple didn't patch i0n1c's exploit. Generally whenever a new firmware update is released previous versions of redsnow and previous versions of the Pwnagetool will jailbreak a new firmware tethered. If you really cannot hold off and want to update to the iOS 4.3.3 firmware you can do so by simply pointing Redsnow to the iOS 4.3.2 firmware while you are actually running the iOS 4.3.3 firmware on your iDevice.

Apple Releases iOS 4.2.8 For Verizon iPhone 4 [Download]


iOS 4.2.8 is available now for CDMA iPhone 4 users on Verizon, along with iOS 4.3.3 firmware update for GSM iPhone 4. iOS 4.2.8 update fixes the location tracking bug. The new iOS version also addresses a few battery-life related issues and iPod Touch bug fixes. openIPSW : Download Any iOS Firmware


ipswDownloader is a small and easy-to-use tool used by all iDevice users to easily download any version of iOS firmwares. What makes it essential is the relative ease of use it offers and the simplification of the whole process of  firmware downloading. The ipswDownloader utility was recently ported to Windows as it was originally available for Mac OS X only. The same Windows version has been given a update and is now called as openIPSW.

Geohot's iPad 2 Jailbreak Will Be A Low Level Exploit


We earlier notified you about the iPhone hacker Geohot accepted the challenge between him and Chronic Dev Team's Posixninja to untether jailbreak the "un-jailbreakable" iPad 2 which most of the hackers, including the iphone Dev Team have touted as near to impossible. iOS 5 : New Notification System preview [Video]


iOS has some of the best features and functions around but one which still needs a lot of improvements is the Push Notifications system. isapzio has posted a video which shows a revamped version of notifications on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad for iOS 5. Andreas has demoed a new notifications system for iOS devices in the form of a real app instead of a system integrated directly into previous versions of Apple's iOS.

Lima : Browser based Cydia Alternative


The developers of Icy, Infini Dev Team, another 3rd party jailbreak installer, have another Cydia alternative in the offing called Lima. Lima is a new browser based version of Cydia that does not need to be installed to your iDevice. Lima is accessible over the internet and will be the first major attempt to make a browser based version of Cydia. It’s just like Android Market or Amazon Appstore for Android, which both allow for browser-based software discovery and installation.

PhySwitch : Switch Between Apps Using Volume Keys


A new tweak was released into Cydia called PhySwitch. This very useful tweak allows you to use your iPhone’s, iPod touch’s volume keys to switch between apps. While this may not sound good, but after looking into PhySwitch you will find this ability should be native functionality. It not only makes switching between applications and easier process it makes it twice as fast. This tweak does not work with the iPad at this time.

iOS 4.3.3 Coming Soon To Fix Location Tracking Bug


Yet again BGR reported about the release of Apple iOS, and it’s updates before it’s release. According to BGR Apple will release iOS 4.3.3 within  two weeks which will fix long going location tracking bug found in earlier iOS. iPad 2 Jailbreak : Geohot vs Posixninja


Posixninja, the man behind greenpoison, has challenged Geohot. Geohot will be once again returning to the jailbreak community to jailbreak the iPad 2. You see, Posixninja actually challenged Geohot to jailbreak the iPad 2, mentioning the competition will further motivate him to work harder on jailbreaking the iPad 2. Untether Jailbreak Verizon iPhone 4 Using redsnow [How To]
