Few days ago we posted about PwnageTool 4.2 but we didn’t think it’s coming so early. iPhone Dev Team has just released PwnageTool 4.2 with iOS 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak on all iDevices except iPod Touch 2G. As expected this version also fixes iBook issue which disables the iBookstore purchases after jailbreaking the device with greenpois0n. The download PwnageTool 4.2 jailbreak tool is given below.

With the release of the
greenpois0n rc5 untethered jailbreak of iOS 4.2.1 came the added bonus of
greenpois0n rc5 custom animated
boot logos. Three new tweaks in Cydia for this option were released. They include iDevice Daily BootLogo, Windows 7 BootLogo and Windows Shattering Apple Boot Logo. I have also been busy making out custom animations for your iOS device. This tweak will allow you to change the boot logo image when you start your iDevice and that during a respring only for iOS Devices jailbroken with
greenpois0n rc5.

About a week ago I bet you would have never thought you would be tired of hearing about greenpois0n, but over the last few days we have covered so much on greenpois0n I am sure you are starting to feel a little pois0ned yourself. Regardless, today another version of the greenpois0n untethered jailbreak was released… dubbed greenpois0n rc5 Beta 4. This new version of greenpois0n rc5 adds support for the Verizon iPhone 4 running the iOS 4.2.6 firmware and fixessome minor bugs present in Beta 3.

These are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 using Greenpois0n for Windows. Greenpois0n supports the iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2.1 firmware. Use Limerain if you want to jailbreak iOS 4.0, iOS 4.0.1, iOS 4.0.2. Do not update to iOS 4.2.1 if you need the Ultrasn0w unlock. Ultrasn0w does not support that baseband yet. The only exception is the iPhone 4. You can update to iOS 4.2.1 without upgrading your baseband by following this

Greenpois0n rc5, the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 is out now with a serious issue almost all of the jailbreakers, that is
no Cydia icon after jailbreaking with greenpois0n rc5. To fix this issue, you will have to install RedSn0w 0.9.6 over the greenpois0n rc5 jailbreak tool. By doing this you will still retain your untethered jailbreak, while gaining the necessary

DjayB6 has just released custom Pwnagetool bundles for iOS 4.3 beta 3 jailbreak on iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and Apple TV 2G. Universal Ramdisk Fixer also gets an update to support iOS 4.3 beta 3 build 8F5166B. Although the steps to iOS 4.3 beta 3 jailbreak are almost same as mentioned in this post, but we are re-writing them here just for ease while skipping and removing the unnecessary details. For activating any iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch on iOS 4.3 via iTunes, you need to have UDID of your iDevice registered in a developer account with Apple. But there are two short workarounds for activating which allow you to hacktivate (activate) iOS 4.3 Beta on iPhone without having a developer account. This activation method is meant for advanced users only.

Apple has decided to remove the VLC Media Player app from the App Store after receiving a formal notification of copyright infringement from the VLC developers. You see the notification of infringement was filed due to the fact that Apple’s iTunes Terms and Conditions don’t allow users to install both free and paid apps on more than 5 devices. Due to this restriction, goes against the original GNU license VLC’s code is based on.
