PwnageTool Jailbreak for iOS 4.1 Preview [Video]


The Dev Team have once again lived up to our expectations and made a functional jailbreak tool - PwnageTool using Limerain's exploit. Dev Team's member MuscleNerd has uploaded a video preview  of their latest jailbreak for iOS 4.1. The video shows an iPad being restored to a pre-jailbroken iOS 3.2.2. PwnageTool is probably going to be released tomorrow.

PwnageTool supports the following iDevices :

* iPod Touch 3G
* iPad
* Apple TV

Apple Releases iOS 4.2 Beta 3 For Developers

Apple has released iOS 4.2 beta 3 for developers and for those who have signed up for iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program. As usual when a new iOS comes out, stay away from it if you rely on your jailbreak and your unlock. The main reason being that Cydia doesn't support iOS 4.2. S 4.2 beta 3) for developers. Jailbreak iOS 4.1 Using Greenpois0n [How To]


Chronic Dev Team have recently released Greenpois0n (untethered) for Windows that jailbreaks the iOS 4.1 firmware. Below is a simple step by step guide on how to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G
and iPod Touch 3G on iOS 4.1 and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad using Greenpois0n ( download link at the end ).

Greenpois0n To Jailbreak iOS 4.1 Released


Chronic Dev Team has just released Greenpois0n to jailbreak iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad. Chronic Dev team delayed the release of Greenpois0n as they have used the same USB bootrom exploit used in Limerain instead of using SHAtter exploit to preserve it for the future.

Jailbreak iOS 4.1 Using Limerain [How To]

Limerain can jailbreak iPhone 4 and all other iDevices on iOS 4.1 including previous iOS versions. It is a little buggy for some iDevices but limerain works. Here is a step by step tutorial to jailbreak  iOS 4.1 using limerain. Even if limerain doesn't work for you, try greenpois0n. If you want to unlock your iPhone then do NOT use limerain. Dev Team will be releasing PwnageTool that will preserve the baseband while updating the iPhone to iOS 4.1 which is not available in limerain. Limera1n To Jailbreak iOS 4.1 Released [Updated]


Geohot has just released limera1n to jailbreak iOS 4.1 and iOS 3.2.2. We told you yesterday that Geohot had discovered a new bootrom exploit and was planning to release the limera1n jailbreak. Limera1n is an unpatchable and untethered jailbreak.

Limera1n RC1 jailbreaks the following iDevices :

* iPhone 3GS
* iPhone 4
* iPad
* iPod Touch 3G
* iPod Touch 4G

GreenPois0n Will Be Tethered For iOS 4.2




Here is some good news and bad news for all the jailbreakers around the world. Greenpoison is based on SHAtter which is a tethered exploit, but Comex from the Dev-Team, made it untethered to develop the upcoming Greenpoison jailbreak for iOS 4.1. However, Greenpoison to jailbreak iOS 4.2 and iOS 4.1.1 will be a tethered jailbreak.

GreenPois0n Jailbreak Will Be Released On Sunday


We finally have some good news for the jailbreakers. P0sixninja has tweeted that they are about to release the GreenPois0n jailbreak. According to P0sixninja, this day will be Sunday at 10:10 AM GMT. If P0sixninja is right, all of you who are waiting for an iOS 4.1 jailbreak will finally be able to jailbreak your iDevice. Though Chronic Dev-Team hasn't announced whether the jailbreak will be tethered or untethered, but it looks like it will be an untethered jailbreak.

Google Chrome Ported To Apple iPad


If you use Google Chrome Browser, you should have seen its intuitive interface, and slim sleek and fast UI. A hacker named Hexxeh has uploaded the above video displaying Chrome running seamlessly on the Apple iPad.

iOS 4.1 Jailbreak Coming Soon [Update]


An interesting update on SHAtter exploit is around the corner. On twitter, a user named asendari, asked Pod2G if the jailbreak would be released in a matter of weeks or days, and he replied back days. Have a look above.

iPad Killer: BlackBerry Playbook Tablet


RIM's co-CEO Lazaridis has described the Playbook as “the first professional tablet”. It is expected to be released in the US in early 2011 and in international markets later. However, RIM also plans to release 3G and 4G versions of Playbook in the future.

Fake Greenpois0n Is Stealing Passwords


A fake Greenpois0n tool has hit the web claiming to be using the new SHAtter exploit. As of now the new SHAtter exploit is in its development phase and hasn't been released yet.  According to a security researcher at the Kapersey Labs, this tool is stealing user's passwords. Beware, it is available on torrents. Never get fooled by such scams.

Pod2G Leaves The Chronic Dev-Team


Pod2G recently tweeted that he won't be working any longer for the Chronic Dev-Team.  Pod2G is accredited for discovering SHAtter -  a new bootrom exploit, which will be able to jailbreak all iDevices. While there have been speculations about some ego issues amongst the Chronic Dev-Team, the reason for his departure is still unknown.

Multitasking


iOS 4.2 includes the multitasking feature for the iPad, which will finally allow users to run some third party iPhone apps to run in the background. iPad users will be able to access seven apps in the task switcher in landscape mode and six apps in portrait mode.

Greenpois0n Coming Soon

Apple Releases iTunes 10 With Ping - Social Network For Music

Apple has released iTunes 10- the latest version of iTunes at the special event along with the launch of the new iPod models and Apple TV.

One of the biggest surprises Apple gave us was Ping- Apple’s social network for music.
Ping is just like any other social networking site allowing you to follow your favorite singers and friends.Unlike other networks, it is basically music-centered.

Ping will be accessible from the iPhone/iPod Touch with the iOS 4.1 software update.

No Jailbreak For iOS 4.0.2, iOS 3.2.2 [Dev-Team]

Today the Dev-Team have notified us that they won't be releasing an official jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2 on iPhone, iPod Touch or iOS 3.2.2 on iPad. Previously, JailbreakMe.com used an exploit in Safari. But, unfortunately Apple released the iOS 4.0.2 firmware to fix this exploit and now Jailbreakme.com is of no use to iDevices running the iOS 4.0.2 firmware.

Netflix App for iPhone and iPod touch released

Netflix has been finally released to support both the iPod Touch and iPhone. It is now available at the App Store for free.Netflix for iPhone and iPod Touch works well over Wi-Fi as well as over 3G.
With the Netflix app you can directly stream video from Netflix with a  subscription starting at $ 8.99 per month.

You need to be a Netflix member to use the app to watch movies and TV shows on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
